Book Synopsis
The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution are the two most magnificent documents created by man. They have allowed the Republic of the United States of America to become the most prosperous nation the world has seen. We have been a beacon and a haven for the tired, the poor, and the huddled masses yearning to breathe the air that free men breathe.
Alexander Tytler, A Scottish advocate, judge, writer, and historian observed that all democracies are temporary in nature. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship.
We are at that point. We can either take the painful but necessary steps to reverse our course or suffer the consequences.
